Imaging Scientist job description template
An imaging scientist works close to the physics of image formation — sensors, optics, noise, and the algorithms that reconstruct or enhance a signal. The role is common in medical imaging, scientific instruments and camera development, and is usually more research-oriented than an engineering title.
Before you post
Name the modality. "Imaging scientist" alone attracts a scattered applicant pool, whereas "CT reconstruction scientist" reaches the right hundred people. If the role involves regulatory work, say so early — it is a genuine differentiator for experienced candidates and a deterrent for the wrong ones, which is exactly what you want.
